5 Tips for using LinkedIn effectively to grow your business:

  1.  Optimize your profile!  Not only is your profile important for other LinkedIn users to find you on the platform, but Google also indexes LinkedIn profiles.  So having your profile completed, and optimized for SEO can be an effective way of generating new targeted connections.  Include a recent headshot, a well written “about” section, a targeted BIO and complete all areas available on your personal profile.
  2. Create a Company Page on LinkedIn.  This again is indexed not only in LinkedIn searches, but also on search engines and will be ranked quickly for targeted keywords.  Make sure that your logo, cover photo, and all areas of the about section are completed.  This is where your company / brand social media posts & content go.  If you first post your content to the company page and then share it to your personal profile it will maximize the exposure of your content.  **quick win** LinkedIn now offers a feature to invite people to like your company page – make sure you take advantage of this new feature.
