Social Media Tip: If you are using LinkedIN for your Business Make sure you set up a Company Page
Tip #28 / 365 If you are using LinkedIN as part of your social media strategy make sure that you have set up and optimized both your personal profile, as well as a Company Page. A LinkedIN personal profile is meant to feature yourself and list your education, experience and accomplishments. A LinkedIn Company Page is meant to showcase your Business.
The correct way to share social media content to LinkedIN from your business is to share them onto your company page. Then if you wish to share that post onto your personal account then you get the benefit of your followers also seeing the post.
LinkedIN Company Pages come with a large variety of benefits – it looks professional, there are great analytics, if you choose to do some paid advertising there is a great opportunity to grow your Company Page.
What NOT to do on LinkedIN ; do NOT set up your company as a personal profile i.e. first name “Dufferin” last name “Media”. This looks unprofessionals and is against the LinkedIN regulations. You actually risk having your account shut down.
