Day#84/365 Daily Tips. Today’s tip I am sharing due to a recent experience where I posted a Tweet to a relatively new Twitter Account (under 50 followers) and was shocked to see the engagement. When I checked the insights of that one Tweet I couldn’t believe it had reached over 3500 people! So I circled back to the analytics for each of my tweets in the past few weeks, and what I discovered was that I had used a new #Hashtag in that tweet I hadn’t used in others. So by keeping an eye on the analytics I gained a key piece of knowledge I can use going forward to grow my account even faster, and that is to keep using this one particular hashtag.

I LOVE The Analytics feature of Twitter. Do you have yours turned on?

Twitter Analytics gives you high level information about how well your account is performing. I keep a close eye on my Tweet Impressions every day. That is the number of eyeballs or people seeing your content on a monthly basis. For many small local businesses this number ranges from 6000 to 12000 depending on the business and size of the audience. For larger businesses obviously the sky is the limit.

Then when you click over to Tweet Activity this is where you can evaluate based on the statistics what content you are sharing that is gaining more impressions and more importantly – more engagement. Eyeballs are great – engagement is better!

Now if you really want to see some crazy numbers go look at the Twitter Analytics section for Audience Insights! You can see your audience analytics broken down by interest, income, profession and so much more.

If you are not already using Twitter Analytics as part of your Social Media Strategy I highly suggest you keep an eye on these, as for me they have been giving me invaluable information to “tweek” what types of content I am sharing and which hashtags.
